THE STRING SELECTION (3 – 6 members) is Australia’s only all female electric string section, comprising of the finest young, glamorous and virtuosic string players from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Experienced in the fast-evolving music industry, THE STRING SELECTION musicians have training from world-class institutions such as the Sydney Conservatorium, the Queensland Conservatorium and the National Academy of Music.
They also hold several years experience each in orchestral and ensemble playing, international touring, and studio recording, and have been involved in the impressive Australian Youth Orchestra. THE STRING SELECTION musicians have rocked the stages at Live Earth, the Big Day Out and Homebake, and have also provided the sounds for Hollywood feature films.
Artists these musicians have collaborated, recorded with and supported include Missy Higgins, Anthony Callea, trumpet and jazz legend James Morrison, Shannon Noll, The Whitlams, Hilltop Hoods, Jimmy Barnes, Cheryl Lynn, Tommy Emmanual and Kate Miller-Heidke.
THE STRING SELECTION musicians have also had the pleasure of entertaining a vast array of clients such as the Zig Zag Foundation, QLD Reds, EDS (Dallas), Brisbane Lions, Devine Ltd and Westfield, and at the Indy race week and NRA Fashion Awards.
