NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE
"Sometimes I want to rock out, sometimes I want to be acoustic and emotive and sometimes I want to be as camp as I can be. This album is as eclectic as I am." - Natalie Bassingthwaighte
Natalie Bassingthwaighte is on top of the world - with 2 songs in the Top 10 on iTunes, her current single, Someday Soon at #4 and Alive at #9 and her debut solo album 1000 Stars to be released on February 21, she has every right to be.
1000 Stars is the sum of all Natalie's musical incarnations, past and present and culminates in an eclectic, up tempo pop record with a positive lyrical message. The album was written and recorded over three months in London, LA and Sweden. Natalie co wrote a number of tracks on the album working along side some of the best pop writers in the world including Paul Barry (Cher, Tina Turner), Steve Anderson (Kylie Minogue), Jimmy Harry (Pink, Britney Spears) and rising Norwegian star Ina Wroldsen.

HOODOO GURUS
Hoodoo Guru in Chief, Dave Faulkner was once asked whether the band he sings and plays guitar for, had left an influence. “I know we have,” he replied. “I see it in lots of things going on, but whether it’s our influence or people that we were influenced by, who can tell? I see our way of thinking, which is something that when we started I didn’t see as much of.”
The Hoodoo Gurus formed in Sydney on January 1, 1981 to play their first "show" in an inner city lounge room. Core members are Dave Faulkner and Brad Shepherd. Their first single was "Leilani", followed by "Tojo" and "My Girl" which were both released in 1983. The Surry Hills rock scene was hot in those days - Flaming Hands, Sunnyboys, Died Pretty, Hoi Polloi, Sekret Sekret, and the Lipstick Killers. The Gurus were hot. |

THE VERONICAS
It's almost exactly two years since the release of The Veronicas' brilliant and phenomenally successful debut album, The Secret Life Of... Over 300,000 copies sold in Australia alone, three top 10 singles, an ARIA Award, MTV awards, international success, hundreds of magazine covers, constant touring. So much more has happened to twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso in that time. They've gained a world full of life and musical experience, all while becoming two of the most recognisable young faces in Australia.
Now, however, it's best you forget what you think you already know about The Veronicas, because this new album is set to change everything. This is HOOK ME UP and it's a dramatic new sound that marks The Veronicas' musical coming of age.
