THE TRIP

The Trip is a powerful new 3 piece band playing classic rock hits from the 70’s and 80’s.

Comprising of David Picone on vocals and guitar Alex Farrugia on vocals and drums and Jerry Dingli on vocals and guitar.

David Picone has spent many years touring and recording both nationally and overseas. He was lead vocalist for renown cover band ‘Scat‘ and was an integral member of popular Melbourne based bands ‘Citzen Kane’ and ‘Tadpole’. He was also lead vocalist with ‘ BBM ROCK’ with whom he toured Europe extensively and ‘The Hodads’ alongside Craig Harneth ( Kids in the Kitchen), Chris Doheney (Geisha) and Paul Gildea (Icehouse).  Alex Farrugia started playing drums at a very young age and is a multi instrumentalist and vocalist with a huge wealth of live music and production experience. Being resident producer at Melbourne’s 001 studios, he has produced multiple top ten hits for male vocal group Mercury 4 and was instrumental in the production of the soundtrack for the classic Australian movie ‘One Pefect Day’.  Jerry Dingli on vocals and guitar has many years of experience and has seen him playing both nationally and overseas with artists such as Dear Enemy, Tina Arena and Invertigo.  As an accomplished songwriter, he has contributed to many chart topping hits throughout his career.
