ACID JACKS

THIS AINT ROCK N ROLL. THIS IS ELECTROCIDE!”

Acid Jacks = Obnoxious ultra electric acid party music. The soundtrack to midnight burgers and extra sugar cola with a touch of hand held video games and lots of chrome! Less funk than punk, but sexier than Giorgio Moroder’s Italian sports car. They are the anti-heroes of a forgotten past, trying to connect and communicate via a drum machine. Judge, Jury and Electrocutioners.

HAVANA BROWN

DJ Havana Brown is Australia’s no. 1 female ranking DJ.

In only a few short months, Havana Brown’s career has taken off big time and seen Australia’s diva on the decks explode into the spotlight both locally and abroad. With a recent record deal under her belt and an out-of-control buz on the streets, Havana was booked for some of the biggest concerts of 08 including: National support for Chris Brown and Rhianna and support for The Pussycat Dolls not to mention her booking at the very exclusive Hennessy series in Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, China where Havana played alongside Wyclef Jean. With performance offers piling up for 2009, Ms Brown is taking it all in her stride.

Known for up-tempo R&B and hip-hop sets, tinged with a touch of electro-house, Havana Brown has raised eyebrows, pulses and hands across club floors around the world in her four years as a DJ.

If you’ve stepped foot on the dance floor over the last couple of years then you would’ve seen these girls around. They know how to grab a crowd with their fun vocal mash ups and vampish dance behavior! And they’re just about to transform their incredible musical talents onto the decks.

NINO BROWN

Australia's Number One DJ, Nino Brown, is conquering the music world. Widely regarded, and respected as a true master of the turntable, with numerous accolades planted firmly under his belt, this hip-hop star continues to prove that he’s earned his place in the ranks of Australia’s finest DJs and radio personalities. Over the past fifteen years he has entertained the listening masses across four continents, but with special detail at home in Australia. He has a loyal fan base and travels interstate weekly to satisfy the demand. His phenomenal live shows pull in up to 3,000 punters per week.

The respected DJ also hosts the Trailblazin' Radio Show. His cutting-edge interviews and slick selection of urban tracks are heard by around 500,000 listeners a week on The Edge 96 One in Sydney, Groove FM in Perth and Raw FM in Regional NSW. Brown also cuts the Blazin' Mix-ups which are heard daily throughout Australia.

DIRTY SOUTH

Over the past 3 years, Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic has made an instant name for himself in the dance music industry, impressing the who’s who of international DJs, producers, media and music lovers with his uncanny ability to dish up ready-made dancefloor bombs.

Born in Europe and moved to Australia when he was 13, Dragan’s thirst for music took a hold of him from a young age. Unable to afford turntables, the youngster began ‘mixing’ with an old NEC Cassette deck, while his growing fascination with production saw him re-jig his home computer and start to make beats with it using demo music software.

GRANT SMILLIE

In a year that can only be described as stellar, Grant alongside Ivan Gough sent their TV ROCK studio project through the roof. Their debut single ‘Flaunt It’ feat Seany B broke all records, achieving double platinum sales (160,000 units) and screamed to the #1 position on the ARIA charts; picking up 2 ARIA gongs for highest selling single and best dance record respectively. TV ROCK also released Sunshine City- their debut album to much acclaim.

JAMES ASH

Looking at a career as long and varied as James Ash's, it's pretty weird to think that it all began in a mates' London bedroom studio back in 1989.

‘That was the critical moment I was exposed to Dance Music', explains James, ‘Before that it had all been about Hip Hop and electronics'. Long term collaborator Steve D was to blame… ‘When Steve started putting all these records on, it just blew my head off. I knew then Dance music was something special'.
